The art gallery hosts several exhibitions each year. A partnership with the United Arts Council of Collier County enables annual exhibitions of painting and photography juried by local art experts while other showings feature works by local students, Rookery Bay Reserve friends & family, and occasionally individuals. Most of the works are available for purchase.

  • Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve and the United Arts Council have joined together to promote the arts and the environment. While applied science is the focus of most Reserve activities, we acknowledge that there are many pathways toward greater understanding of the natural world.
  • The Environmental Learning Center’s art gallery creates an opportunity for people to increase their sense of wonder for nature by stimulating and celebrating personal expression through the visual arts.

On Exhibit Jan. 14 - Mar. 27, 2019

Friends of Rookery Bay (FORB) and the United Arts Council of Collier County (UAC) are seeking submissions for their annual photography exhibit at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center in Naples, Florida. Rookery Bay is part of the National Estuarine Research Reserve located at 300 Tower Rd., Naples, FL 34113. In celebration of Rookery Bay's 40th anniversary, the theme and title of this year's exhibition is Intersection of Man and Nature: People, Planet, and Prosperity. Photographs should reflect and/or express the essence of Florida's flora and fauna.

This year's juror is professional photographer Paul Marcellini.

Join us for wine and light bites at the Exhibit Opening Reception, January 31, 5:30-7 p.m.  The event is FREE, but registration recommended.
