After last Friday’s successful Sea Turtle Nesting Lunch & Learn, presenters Sarah Norris and Jill Schmid stopped by to visit with fellow sea turtle conservationist and artist Dora Knuteson. As Rookery Bay’s featured artist, Dora has painted live in the art gallery for the past few months while working on her new collection of sea turtle-themed paintings.
On January 31, these paintings and other work by Dora will be on display and available for purchase at Rookery Bay’s “Save the Sea Turtles” Art Reception and Fundraiser. 50% of all artwork sales on that night will go directly to the Friends of Rookery Bay’s Sea Turtle Nest Adoption Program. Admission is free. Guests will enjoy light hors d’oeuvres, drinks … and, of course, beautiful sea turtle art!
Registration in advance is requested.
