Last week, Rookery Bay hosted the second virtual Breakfast with the Birds morning lecture in the 2020 Summer Series. More than 50 people tuned in from all around the country (including New Jersey and Pennsylvania) for “Bird Bling: How Banding Birds Aids in Conservation,” a live presentation by shorebird expert Adam DiNuovo of Audubon FL.
After the lecture, participants enjoyed a question and answer session. Adam fielded questions about everything from creating a bird-friendly backyard to how to discourage birds from flying into windows. It was the perfect mix of information and practical advice.
And, at the very end, everyone lifted their coffee cups in honor of the birds everywhere from the comforts of home.
Join us for our next two lectures as we zoom along with Adam and the birds!
