What makes Rookery Bay a special place, in your opinion?
The presence of this ecosystem that has been preserved over the last 40 years has left a magical touch on Southwest Florida. There are not many places left that show what it native Florida looks like, how the ecosystem functions, and how it serves and protects coastal communities.
What made you choose to work here?
Rookery Bay offers such a unique service to the Southwest Florida community. All in one facility there is a research team, a natural resource management team, an education team, and a team that is a bridge between the research, the policies and best management practices- and I am thrilled to be a part of the action!
I absolutely love the environment and the people at Rookery Bay! I was fortunate enough to intern with the Stewardship team in the summer of 2017. Over that summer I learned that I just cannot get enough of Rookery Bay Reserve, so the reserve is the perfect place to work!
