Cancellation policy: Prior to 30 business days – full refund; 15-30 business days – 50% refund; Less than 15 business days – no refund, however the balance can be credited to a future event

Summer Institute for Marine Science
(SIMS)
Participants will explore the coastal ecology of Southwest Florida through excursions within the 110,000 acres of the Rookery Bay Research Reserve.
Each half-day program will look at the mission and conservation efforts of Rookery Bay, experience in the field, exposure to research and monitoring of wildlife and connections to partner agencies. SIMS offers students the flexibility to attend one, two or three days of camp.
SIMS Information
SIMS offers students an in depth look at the mission and efforts of the Reserve, visits to surrounding areas of the Western Everglades and exposure to research and monitoring of local wildlife.
The Student Institute for Marine Science is for students entering 8th, 9th or 10th grade. Registration is required. For questions, email Jeannine or call 239-530-5989.
